1. Mo money mo problems? 🤑
In what has decidedly not been common practice in recent years, more VCs are starting to warn founders of the dangers of taking too much money.
There seems to be an emerging consensus that startups shouldn't chase sky-high valuations during funding rounds, as failing to meet the growth expectations set by those valuations can harm the company and its employees.

2. OpenAI enters the search game 🔍
ChatGPT is now a web search engine. Paid subscribers can access real-time information in their conversations, with free and other users getting access soon.
OpenAI's search lead, Adam Fry, demonstrated the feature's ability to display interactive stock graphs, news articles, and maps. The search functionality was built using a mix of technologies, including Microsoft's Bing. This launch comes as AI-powered search is heating up across tech giants, with Meta reportedly developing its own solution and Google expanding its AI overview feature.

3. Countering AI open source development risks 🤺
Holistic AI has launched an open-source library, Holistic AI OSL, to help developers build more responsible AI systems by tackling issues like bias and security. The library offers a comprehensive suite of tools to address five primary technical risks in AI development, including bias mitigation and model explainability. Global insurance giant MAPFRE has already integrated the library into its AI development stack.
